Note: You can make this pudding without Semolina as well. It is up to you if you prefer the consistency of this durum wheat.

Ingredients:
3 cups milk
5 tablespoons semolina
1 teaspoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
1 cup heavy cream
1 packet vanilla sugar (optional, commonly found in Turkish and Balkan stores)
1 teaspoon orange blossom water or rose water
Garnish: pistachios, dried rose petals, cherries
Instructions:
In a cold pot, combine the milk, semolina, cornstarch, sugar, and heavy cream. If using vanilla sugar, add it as well. Make sure this step is done cold! Do not mix the cornstarch into a warm milk mix!
Stir the mixture well to combine all ingredients.
Place the pot over medium heat and continuously stir until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.
Once thickened, add the orange blossom water or rose water and stir to combine.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Transfer the dessert to serving bowls, dishes, or cups.
Garnish with pistachios, dried rose petals, and cherries.
Serve warm or chilled. Enjoy!
We hope you enjoy Mahlabia!
