Hummus - Shortcut Version

Quick & Creamy Hummus with Crispy Toppings
Ingredients:
2 cans of creamed hummus (such as Ziyad brand)
1 garlic clove (finely grated)
2 heaping tablespoons of yogurt (Greek, Desi, or Arabic yogurt)
¼ cup of tahini
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of ground cumin (for flavor)
For the Crispy Topping:
1 small flour tortilla, cut into tiny squares
Oil for frying
Toppings for Decoration:
Paprika or sumac
Chopped parsley
A few whole chickpeas
Fried tortilla pieces
Pomegranate seeds
Olive oil
Instructions:
Prepare the Hummus:
In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, yogurt, tahini, and lemon juice. Add to a bowl with the two emptied cans of hummus. Stir well until smooth and fully combined. Add cumin to taste.
Fry the Tortilla Pieces:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add the small tortilla squares and fry until golden and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Assemble & Garnish:
Spread half the hummus mixture onto a serving plate.
Sprinkle with paprika or sumac and chopped parsley.
Add a few whole chickpeas in the middle, fried tortilla pieces, and pomegranate seeds.
Drizzle with good quality olive oil.
Serve & Enjoy!
Pair with warm pita, fresh veggies, or crackers for a delicious snack or appetizer.
